Avalon Communities, one of the most prolific multi-family residential builders, is utilizing high efficiency condensing equipment for the two recent NYC area projects, in Morningside Heights and in White Plains, NY.
In both cases Aerco BMK-3.0LN condensing boilers are utilized for heating. Using these systems reduced MER size, as well as chimney and combustion air systems.
Both building heating plants are controlled and monitored by Tekworx Plant Management system, also supplied as part of the GA Fleet package of equipment. This system provides full data communication to the boilers and water heaters, controls and monitors associated pumps, valves, and tanks, and is designed to make all monitor and control functions available remotely through any standard web browser.
Morningside uses Aerco KC1000GWW condensing domestic water heaters, while White Plains uses indirect DHW generation off the boiler system. The high delta-T design permits high efficiency, while keeping piping sizes small.
